Data Deletion Request

You can delete your account and your data at any time.

From the app (fastest)

Profile → Delete Account. It starts immediately; you do not need to send a request as well.

By email

If you cannot reach the app, email [email protected] from your account's email address with the subject "Account deletion". Once we have verified the request we complete it within 30 days.

What happens on deletion

1. Every session token is revoked; the app can no longer reach your account.
2. Receipt images are deleted along with their files.
3. Your price alerts, favourite stores, store memberships, device records and preferences are deleted.
4. If you own a household, ownership passes to another member; with no other member, the household is dissolved.
5. The price observations you contributed are anonymised — the record stays, the link to you is cut.
6. Your name, email and other identifying fields are cleared and the account is deleted.

Why aren't price observations deleted outright?

A shelf price is a fact about a store on a date, not personal data about you. Once the link to your identity is cut, that record helps other shoppers see accurate prices. So the observation stays, but it belongs to nobody.

If you would still rather your observations were removed entirely, say so in your deletion request.
